A mindfulness based psychotherapeutic practice with the premise that embodied awareness is inherently healing.
Core Process Psychotherapy offers us space and time to bring issues or problems that we may be struggling with, or that feel overwhelming. It allows us to explore more deeply the way we feel about ourselves and our lives, and to look for ways in which we can encourage healing, transformation and growth.
People seek out psychotherapy for all sorts of reasons. You may be experiencing:
- Depression
- Low self-esteem
- Stress and anxiety
- Post traumatic stress disorders
- Bereavement, loss and grief
- Challenges in relatationships or at work
You may just be feeling that things are not quite right, or that you are not fulfilling your potential and living the life you had hoped.
Core Process provides compassionate holding for difficult feelings and offers us the opportunity to look for more space, clarity and balance and in our lives.
Combining Western therapeutic techniques with a Buddhist oriented approach, Core Process invites us to become more aware, mindful and present in ourselves. Over the course of the sessions we are able to gently examine and work to dismantle the patterns and belief systems, which have being governing our lives and holding us back from our essential well-being.
It is an opportunity to be met, to sit and talk or just be with whatever arises in the session. To be who we are and move towards more of who and what we want to be.
At the heart of Core Process Psychotherapy is belief in the intrinsic health and basic goodness of every human being and the possibility for transformation through awareness, presence and compassion.
Sessions are held on an ongoing weekly basis and last for 55 minutes.
They take place at The Practice Rooms, The Old Bakehouse, 2A South Parade, Oxford OX2 7JL
